Punta Tiñosa Cave
Punta Tiñosa Cave is a shallow cave dive off the coast near Tías, accessible from the harbour area. Divers descend into a sandstone and lava-tube style cave system with a dim interior and exits at several meters depth. The site suits beginners with a basic buoyancy and spacious silt-free entry, though it can be dim in the deeper sections. Expect typical subtropical Atlantic life in the Canaries' waters: small reef fishes, damselfish, wrasses, moray eels, and occasional cardinalfish around the entrance and cave walls. Light currents are possible in certain tides; plan for a team- or buddy-assisted dive and keep a conservative profile when navigating the cave. Surface conditions from the shore are generally calm, with relatively protected water close to the cave mouth.
