Tías
Las Gorgonias
Las Gorgonias is a shallow coastal dive site near the town of Tías on Lanzarote. It features a gentle sandy bottom with scattered rocky outcrops and patches of seagrass, typical of transitional habitats along the island’s southern coast. The site is often represented by a relaxed drift or shore-entry dive with calm conditions and good visibility in fair weather. Marine life commonly observed includes small reef fish, wrasses, and blennies, with occasional sea bream and moray eels around rocks. Because depths are shallow and conditions generally mild, it suits entry-level divers and is a practical option for a quick local dive before or after other activities. Access is straightforward from nearby coastal roads, with nearby towns such as Tías and San Bartolomé providing support services.
