Le Mur

Le mur is a coastal dive site near Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Menton, and Monaco along the French Riviera. It features a continuous underwater wall that drops from shallow near the kelp and rocky shelf to deeper sections, typically reached at modest depths. The top of the wall starts around a few meters and slopes steeply, providing easy entry from the rocky coast. Expect Mediterranean visibility that can vary with conditions, and a mix of hard corals, sponges, and gorgonians typical of this region. The site hosts a range of Mediterranean species such as groupers, wrasses, moray eels, octopus, and various damselfish depending on season and current. This site is suitable for experienced recreational divers who are comfortable with wall profiles and potential current, but can also be enjoyed by confident beginners under calm conditions. Access is straightforward from nearby towns, and local dive centers can provide guidance on currents and best times.
