Le Cap Ferrat

Le Cap Ferrat is a classic Mediterranean dive area along the EC coast near Nice, known for easy access and a mix of rocky reefs and gentle slopes. Dives are typically shallow to mid-depth, with clear visibility in calm conditions. The site offers coastal topography, including rocky ledges and small caves, attracting common Western Mediterranean species such as groupers, sea breams, moray eels, octopus, wrasse and around posidonia meadows. Entry is usually from a rocky shore or small jetty, making it a popular choice for training dives and for divers staying in Nice, Villefranche-sur-Mer or nearby towns. The area can see surge and modest currents on windy days, so plan dives with local guidance and respect sea conditions.
