L'avion

L'Avion is a small coastal site in the French Riviera, typically explored from Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat or nearby towns. The site offers a shallow, sheltered dive with a gently sloping seabed and interesting rock outcrops. Entry is usually straightforward from a rocky shore or small beach, with calm conditions common in good weather. The underwater topography features crevices and small overhangs that harbor common Western Mediterranean species such as groupers, littler fish, moray eels, and octopus. Visibility is often good in this area, with water temperatures ranging from mild in spring and autumn to warmer in summer. The site is suitable for beginner to intermediate divers and can be used for training or short shallow dives close to the coast.
