Punta Francesa

Punta Francesa is a coastal area in Quintana Roo on Mexico’s Caribbean Sea side, used mainly as a local access point for dives in the surrounding region. Scuba here typically focuses on short boat or shore-entry trips to nearby reefs and reef edges, with conditions that depend on season and weather. Visibility can be good on calmer days, and you’ll generally find tropical reef fish and other common Caribbean marine life, with variety increasing on healthier reef sections. As it’s not a major city center by itself, most divers plan using nearby hubs in Quintana Roo for dive briefings, equipment rental, and guided outings to the best sites offshore and along the coast.
