Tossa De Mar

Tossa de Mar is a coastal town on Spain’s Costa Brava (Catalonia), with easy access to the Mediterranean/ Balearic Sea diving along the shoreline. Most diving from here is done from boats when conditions are suitable, targeting typical Mediterranean coastal habitats such as rocky walls, reef-like outcrops, and sheltered spots near the coast. Visibility and temperature change with season, and currents can vary depending on wind and swell, so local dive centers usually brief sites for the day. If you’re looking to practice skills rather than travel to major deep destinations, you’ll also find training and guided dives through local operators. For freshwater, Banyoles Lake is in the wider area, but it’s not a same-day substitute for sea diving.
