Dhangethi

Dhangethi is a small island town in the Maldives, serving primarily as a gateway to atolls and dive sites in the South Ari Atoll. While the village itself is not a major dive hub, it offers access to nearby reef walls, manta cleaning stations, and pelagic encounters reachable by local boat trips. With several local dive centers on or near the island, visitors can arrange introductions, recurrent dives, and excursions to popular nearby sites. Water is warm and typically clear, with visibility commonly ranging in the teens to low twenties meters. Expect abundant reef fishes, occasional turtles, and drift dives along pristine coral atolls on trips from Dhangethi.
