Ginowan

Ginowan, on Okinawa's west coast, is a coastal city that acts as a handy gateway for divers heading to the central Ryukyu reefs. It has a small number of local dive centers and easy access to nearby shore dives and boat trips to a range of sites along the Okinawa chain. Expect warm tropical water, calm conditions most of the year, and abundant reef fish around the surrounding coast. While Ginowan itself isn’t a macro dive hub, its proximity to Naha and central Okinawa makes it a practical base for day trips to nearby reefs, wrecks, and vibrant underwater habitats.
