Kalathas

Kalathas is a coastal area on the northern coast of Crete in Greece. It sits near the city of Chania and offers access to sheltered waters and a variety of shore and boat dive options in the Mediterranean. With a limited number of local dive centers and several nearby dive sites in the Eastern Mediterranean, divers typically arrange day trips to nearby reefs and walls around Crete. The area is more about gateway access to Crete’s broader dive scene than a standalone, famed dive destination. Conditions are generally mild, with clear water in good visibility, temperate currents, and typical Mediterranean marine life.
