Villefranche Paretone

Villefranche Paretone is a sheltered, shallow Mediterranean dive site near Villefranche-sur-Mer. It offers a gentle start for introductory divers and a straightforward entry from the rocky shore. Depths typically range from just a few metres down to around 12–15 metres, with a sloping seabed and plenty of interesting small formations. Expect clear water in good conditions and visibility often in the 5–15 metre range. The site features rocky substrate, patches of Posidonia seagrass nearby, and a mix of juvenile reef fish, wrasses, and blennies. It's commonly visited by local dive clubs for training and easy recreational dives, especially when seas are calm. Access is quick from nearby towns such as Villefranche-sur-Mer and Nice, with Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat just a short hop away.
