Mellieħa

Ramla Bay

Ramla Bay is a sheltered coastal site on the north coast of Malta’s Mellieħa peninsula. The area is known for a broad sandy bay with shallow bays and clear, turquoise water. The dive is typically a shallow shore entry or nearshore drift along a gently sloping seabed, making it accessible to beginner divers. Expect sandy bottom with sparse structure and occasional patches of seagrass; visibility can vary with seas and wind. Underwater life tends to be small, coastal species and common Mediterranean fish. The nearby Mellieħa coast provides a convenient access point for divers starting from Maltese towns, with several dive centers in the Mellieħa–Manikata–Għajnsielem area offering services to visiting divers.
