Jungutbatu

Pontoon

Pontoon is a shallow, easy-access dive site near small island communities. It typically features a sunken floating platform or natural shoal that creates a gentle drop-off from the surface to about 5–12 meters. The site is known for calm conditions and a sandy bottom with patches of seagrass or rubble nearby. Expect simple entry and exit, making it suitable for beginners and for practicing buoyancy or conducted safety drills. Marine life is common and includes small reef fish, crabs, eels, and occasionally reef sharks or stingrays in the surrounding area, depending on local health of the habitat. The nearby islands of Jungutbatu, Lembongan, and Toyapakeh provide easy access and nearby amenities; plan shore or boat entry from local dive centers. This site offers a relaxed drift or pontoon-based exploration if currents permit, otherwise a straightforward, shallow dive with good visibility typical of calm tropical waters.
