Saint Jean Cap Ferrat

Pointe De La Cuisse

Pointe de la Cuisse is a small, local dive site off the French Riviera near Nice. The site lies in protected coastal waters with easy access for shore or boat dives and typically shallow depths suitable for fun dives or training. Expect a rocky seabed with mixed sediments and patches of Posidonia seagrass nearby. Marine life commonly includes groupers, wrasse, damselfish, octopus, and occasional schools of small pelagics, plus lobsters and sea urchins on the rocky features. Visibility varies with conditions but is often good in calm weather. The site is well-suited for beginners and for practicing buoyancy and etiquette in a busy coastal zone, with straightforward entry and exit from nearby beaches or harbor zones. Nearby towns such as Saint-Jean-Ccap-Ferrat, Nice and Villefranche-sur-Mer provide easy access and support services. Note that local currents can occur close to the headlands, so dives with suitable experience are advised.
