Manta Bay Racha Noi

Manta Bay Racha Noi is a renowned dive site off the west coast of Phuket in the Andaman Sea. The site sits on a sloping reef and sandy bottom with a range of topography including small pinnacle features and sandy ledges that host a variety of tropical fishes. Visibility is commonly 15–30+ meters, with warm surface conditions and thermoclines that can develop seasonally. The area is known for manta rays and a diversity of reef residents, including reef fish, groupers, snappers, parrotfish, and occasional encrusting corals. Entry is typically from a boat with a gentle descent to about 12–25 meters, making it suitable for intermediate divers who are comfortable with mild current. The site’s open water and gentle drift sections allow relaxed exploration along the reef walls and around the pinnacles. Nearby islands and multiple dive centers operate in the Phuket area, with access commonly arranged from Phuket Town, Patong, or local boat anchors near Chalong Bay.
