Ao Sane

Ao Sane is a small, sheltered rocky reef site off the west coast of Phuket, known for straightforward shore entry and calm conditions suitable for both beginners and more experienced divers building buoyancy and control. The site features limestone ledges, short swim-throughs, and patches of soft corals with a variety of small reef fish. Depths are typically shallow, making it a good choice for a relaxed dive or for practicing finning and navigation. Access is easy from nearby beaches, and visibility is generally good when seas are calm. The area is part of a busy dive region around Phuket, with nearby hubs in Rawai, Chalong, and Karon. Typical to the Andaman Sea, you might encounter a range of tropical species such as wrasses, sergeant majors, moray eels, and occasional grazing invertebrates; the habitat supports healthy coastal biodiversity without being a deep or technically demanding site.
