Kubu
Kubu Drop Off
Kubu Drop off is a shallow-to-deep reef drop-off near Bali’s northeastern coast. The site typically features a sloping rocky bottom that drops off to deeper wall sections, with clear tropical water and good visibility on calmer days. Expect a mix of coral growth on the upper sections and patchy rubble zones lower down, hosting common reef species such as damselfishes, wrasses, cardinalfish, and occasional parrotfish. The site is accessible from nearby coastal towns and is commonly visited as a relaxed dive for macro critters near structure and for practicing buoyancy along a gentle wall. Entry is straightforward from a sandy/reef edge, with currents generally mild but can pick up with tides.
