Purwakerthi
Batu Belah
Batu Belah is a coastal dive site known for its shallow, easy access and calm conditions. Located near Abang and within a short boat or shore ride from Labasari and Purwakerthi, the site typically features a sloping seabed with sandy patches, small coral outcrops, and man-made or natural ledges that create gentle drop-offs. Depths are shallow and suitable for beginner to intermediate divers, with common visibility and current levels depending on tides. Expect Western Indo-Pacific reef life such as damselfish, parrotfish, clownfish in matching anemones, cardinalfish at night, and occasional juvenile reef species in the shallows. The site is well-suited for performing buoyancy drills, shallow reef surveys, and easy boat or shore dives from nearby towns.
