Bannerfish Bay

Bannerfish Bay is a sandy to sloping reef area near Dahab, offering straightforward entry and gentle currents suitable for recreational divers. The site typically features a shallow first 6–12 metres with a gentle slope to deeper water, making it a good option for beginners and for practicing buoyancy and navagation. Expect clear Red Sea water, with common reef-associated species such as damselfish, butterflyfish, wrasses, and occasional parrotfish. The nearby Dahab area provides multiple access points and shore-based facilities; dive operators in town commonly run trips to Bannerfish Bay for calm conditions and short ride times. This site is well-suited to day trips and can be combined with other Dahab dive sites for a full morning or afternoon of diving.
