Ahihi Bay
Ahihi Bay is a coastal site located on the southwestern Maui coast. The bay area features rocky ledges and sandy bottoms typical of tropical Hawaiian reefs, with relatively calm conditions most days. Access is straightforward from nearby towns, and the site is commonly visited for a relaxed snorkel or entry-level dive, with gentle depth gradients and easy exits. Expect clear tropical water, moderate vis, and common reef species typical of Hawaii such as damselfish, surgeonfish, triggers, and reef hermit crabs. This area is part of a broader coastal ecosystem with seagrass beds nearby and occasional gentle currents that can vary with tides. Always dive with a local guide and observe respectful marine life interaction and local regulations.
