Polo Beach

Polo Beach is a gentle shoreline dive site on Maui’s south shore, near Kihei and Wailea. The site typically features sandy-silt bottom with shallow reef patches and occasional ledges close to shore. Access is straightforward from the beach, with entry from calm areas and a gradual depth increase as you move offshore. Expect warm tropical water, mild to moderate currents, and visibility that can vary with plankton and weather. Common nearshore marine life includes reef fishes, wrasse, surgeonfish, and small critters around rock outcrops.
