Abu Soma Garden

Abu Soma Garden is a shallow reef site near Ras Abu Soma in the Egyptian Red Sea. The dive typically features sandy patches dotted with coral outcrops and a gentle slope from a few meters down to around 18–22 meters, providing easy conditions for new divers and relaxed proficiency dives. Expect a mix of hard and soft corals, small reef fish, and occasional visibility-limiting plankton blooms depending on conditions. The site is commonly visited from nearby coastal towns, with Ras Abu Soma just a short walk from the water and Safaga within a short boat ride. Access is straightforward from local dive boats and shore entries are possible at low tide. The structure supports mild drift and gentle current scenarios, making it a suitable choice for gentle depth workouts and reef cruising.
