Yamada Point is a shallow coastal dive site off Onna, Okinawa, known for easy shore-access and gentle slopes. The site features a gradual descent from the sandy seabed to low-profile coral rock formations and scattered rubble, making it suitable for beginners and drift-free conditions in calm weather. Typical conditions include good visibility and warm water year-round, with commonly encountered Western Pacific reef residents such as sergeant fish, parrotfish, angelfish, wrasse, and occasional moray eels along the rubble zones. Access is straightforward from the Onna coastline, with nearby dive centers offering rental gear and guided dives. The site lies close to central Okinawa’s dive network, often used for introductory dives or practice close to shore.
