Western Shoals

Westerns Shoals is a coastal dive site off Piti and nearby towns, located in a shallow marine area with typical tropical reef-topography. The site usually features shallow sloping sand and small reef patches, offering easy entry from the shore or a small boat channel. Visibility varies seasonally but is often fair to good, with gentle currents suitable for beginners and drift dives for more experienced divers. Common local life may include small reef fish, corals and invertebrates typical of tropical Subtropical Pacific reefs. The site is often used for training and practice due to its approachable depth and straightforward navigation.
