Troll Wreck, Carriacou

Troll Wreck is a coastal wreck dive off Carriacou, a popular stop in the Grenadines. The wreck rests on a sandy seabed with its hull partially intact, making it accessible for entry-level to intermediate divers depending on currents. Expect a gentle swim-around with opportunities to explore the hull, tangled rigging, and occasional marine life using the wreck as shelter. The site is typically done with calm seas and good visibility, and it’s commonly visited as part of island itineraries from nearby towns. Nearby land access points include L’Esterre, Hermitage, and Belmont, each within a short drive from Carriacou’s harbor areas. As with most Caribbean wrecks, divers may encounter hindrance currents; plan for a controlled ascent and proper briefing. Typical tropical reef species—sparisic, damselfish, bluestripe grunt—and schooling fish are common in the surrounding area. The site suits trained divers with basic wreck awareness and adherence to local dive-center guidelines.
