Tombant Aux Ancres

Tombant aux ancres is a shallow to moderate-depth wall-like drop-off site off the coast near L'Étang-Salé and Saint-Leu. The site features a series of rocky ledges and an undercut on the slope, with good natural light penetration typical of small reef drop-offs. Expect clear lagoon-like water with gentle to moderate currents. Typical Western Indian Ocean life in this region includes parrotfishes, reef damselfish, wrasse, and occasional moray eels and octopus. The site is easily accessible from nearby towns, making it a practical choice for a half or full-day dive when weather allows.
