Lagon Etang Salée

Lagon Etang Salée is a shallow coastal site in Réunion, located near the town of L'Étang-Salé and within easy reach of Saint-Leu. The site typically features calm, clear water with gentle sandy bottoms and patches of reef or rocky outcrops close to shore. It is suitable for beginner to intermediate divers, with straightforward entry from the beach or a short boat hop depending on conditions. Expect a calm undersea environment with typical Western Indian Ocean species such as damselfish, wrasses, goatfish, parrotfish, and small reef dwellers; occasional visits from larger species are possible but not guaranteed.
