Saint Raphaël
Roche Percée
Roche Percée is a Mediterranean reef dive site near Saint-Raphaël on the French Riviera. The site features a rocky promontory and a natural arch that creates a shallow plateau leading to a deeper drop-off. Entry is typically from a small rocky ledge with easy access for boat dives. Depths commonly range from around 6 to 18 meters, with the wall and the arch attracting a mix of soft and hard corals, gorgonians, and macro life. Expect typical Western Mediterranean species such as groupers, damselfish, moray eels, octopus, barracuda, and a variety of nudibranchs. Conditions are influenced by sea state; plan for modest currents and good visibility in calm weather. The site is popular with local dive boats based from Saint-Raphaël and Fréjus, and is accessible within a short boat ride from these towns.
