Bouillante
Pigeon Island
Pigeon Island is a small offshore site known for its easy access from Bouillante, roughly five minutes by boat. The site typically features a gentle slope and rocky, reef-like terrain with moderate underwater visibility. It is suitable for beginner to intermediate divers and often visited for short, relaxed dives near the volcanic coast. Expect common Caribbean reef inhabitants such as parrotfish, sergeant majors, and blue tangs, with the chance of seeing small reef sharks on the outer edge. The site’s calm conditions make it a good option for a morning dive before visiting nearby towns.
