Pierre Aux Platax

Pierre aux Platax is a coastal reef dive site near Saint-Gilles-les-Bains on Réunion Island. The site features a gently sloping coral-dominated reef with rich biodiversity typical of tropical Indo-Pacific lagoons. Depths commonly range from shallow protection near the reef crest down to around 20 metres, with more advanced sections along minor drop-offs. Access is straightforward from the nearby coast, and drift conditions can occur with currents aiding navigation along the reef. Expect a variety of reef fish, small pelagics, and potential sighting of larger groupers and occasional turtles in clear, warm water.
