Roches Merveilleuses

Roches Merveilleuses is a shallow coastal site near Saint-Paul and Saint-Gilles-les-Bains on Réunion Island. The area features rocky outcrops and sloping reefs with typically clear tropical waters. Depths commonly range from a few metres to around 15–20 metres, making it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. Expect reef-associated life such as damselfish, wrasses, parrotfish, and occasional moray eels, with healthy coral cover on exposed slopes. Entry is usually from the shore or a small beach, with a straightforward descent and a gentle swim along the reef edge. Current is generally mild, and visibility can be good in stable conditions. This site is appreciated for relaxed, short-plus dives close to town hubs, with easy access from nearby dive operations.
