Merci Jesus (Wreck)

Merci Jesus (Wreck) is a shallow wreck dive site off the coast near Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. The wreck rests in relatively calm conditions with typical visibility for local Florida wreck dives. The vessel lies on a sandy bottom, producing a gentle ascent and descent profile suitable for trained recreational divers. Expect to see common reef and pelagic species of the Southeast Florida region around artificial structures, including small groupers, snappers, reef fish, and occasional spottable junior-sized reef sharks in busier seasons. As with many nearshore wrecks, currents can be variable and divers should maintain good buoyancy and awareness of surroundings while exploring the exterior of the hull. Access is straightforward from local boat charters and shore entries from nearby beaches.
