La Chaise

LA CHAISE is a local scuba site near Bouillante on Guadeloupe’s west coast. The site is typically reached by a short boat ride from the northwestern coast towns and offers easy access for shore or small-boat dives. Terrain is characterised by a gentle slope and rocky outcrops that host a variety of reef-associated life. Conditions are generally warm tropical waters with moderate visibility and a calm, predictable environment suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. Common activity includes exploring the outer reef edge, short swim-throughs around rocky features, and observing small reef fish, damsels, parrotfish, and occasionally larger groupers or rays in the vicinity. The site’s proximity to Bouillante makes it a practical option for a half‑day dive from nearby towns such as Pointe-Noire and Vieux-Habitants.
