Koh Ma

Koh Ma is a shallow, sheltered reef area off the northwest coast of Koh Phangan. The site is known for clear water, gentle currents, and easy entry from the beach or a short swim from a nearby shore. Expect a sandy bottom with patches of hard coral and seashells, plus a variety of small reef fish, damselfish, wrasses and occasionally larger species around the outer edges. Visibility is often good in calm conditions, making Koh Ma suitable for beginners and for practicing buoyancy and novice underwater skills. Access from nearby towns is straightforward and the site lies within a short ride of Haad Khuat and the other local villages listed nearby.
