Daanbantayan
Kimud Shoal
Kimud Shoal is a shallow reef sloping from around 5 to 18 meters, located off the coast near Logon and Daanbantayan with Maya to the south. The site typically offers calm conditions with moderate visibility, common tropical reef life, and a mix of hard corals and sandy patches. Entry is usually from a small boat or shore access, followed by a gentle descent to a coral garden with scattered bommies and a couple of small ledges. Expect reef fish such as damselfish, wrasse, and parrotfish, along with potential moray eels and occasional turtles in the area. As with many sheltered reef dives in this region, currents are usually mild but can occur with tides, so plan for a relaxed profile and enjoy the easy swim around the structure.
