Bugtong Bato

Bugtong Bato is a shallow coastal site known for its easy access and straightforward entry, making it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. The site features a mix of sandy patches and small reef structures close to the shoreline, with gentle bottom contours that gradually deepen. Typical visibility is good in calm conditions, and frequent sightings include small tropical reef fish, wrasses, damselfish, and occasional invertebrates among the rubble and seagrass patches. The calm, protected setting and proximity to local towns offer convenient diving options, often paired with a drift or wall dive at nearby sites when conditions allow. Always dive within the limits of training and experience, and be mindful of local currents and surface conditions.
