Saint Raphaël
Grand Cap Roux
Grand Cap Roux is a coastal dive site off the Côte d’Azur, near Théoule-sur-Mer and Saint-Raphaël. The site typically features rocky underwater topography with sloping reefs and small ledges. Depths are shallow to moderate, usually transitioning from around 6 to 20 meters in typical dives, making it accessible for recreational divers with basic training. Expect clear Mediterranean water with good visibility in calm conditions. The area hosts common Western Mediterranean species such as groupers, octopus, moray eels, damselfish, and octopuses around rocky outcrops and patches of Posidonia meadows. Access is straightforward from nearby towns, and local dive centers in Théoule-sur-Mer, Saint-Raphaël, and Cannes can provide boat runs or shore entries depending on conditions.
