El Trencat

El Trencat is a local dive site near the towns of Sant Vicenç de Montalt, Sant Andreu de Llavaneres and Caldes d’Estrac. It lies along the Catalan coast with easy access from the shoreline. Depths and topography are typical of a shallow Mediterranean site, featuring rocky formations and scenic underwater scenery suitable for beach and boat transitions. Expect calm conditions on calm days, with visibility commonly good but variable with wind and swell. The site suits beginner to intermediate divers familiar with coastal diving, and nearby recreational centers offer local support. Common Western Mediterranean species such as groupers, octopus, moray eels and nudibranchs may be observed among posidonia meadows and rocky outcrops. This is a local, non-epic dive that makes for a reliable day-trip dive from the Barcelona metropolitan area range.
