Roses
Cala Rostella
Cala Rostella is a shallow coastal site near Roses on the Costa Brava. Access is straightforward from town beaches, with a sheltered entry suitable for new divers and for entries from small boats. The site typically features rocky seabed, small ledges and clear water conditions that improve visibility in calm weather. Expect Mediterranean marine life typical of the area, such as wrasse, sea bream, and octopus, with posidonia meadows in the surrounding seabed. The site is commonly used for training dives and short recreational explorations, rather than long-depth photography expeditions. Depths are generally shallow, making it suitable for beginners and for practicing buoyancy and skills close to the shore.
