Arcos Cruzeiro

ARCOS CRUZEIRO is a local shallow dive site near Lagoa on the island of São Miguel in the Azores. The site comprises a series of rocky outcrops and arches that create gentle swim-throughs and small ledges suitable for entry-level to intermediate divers. Expect clear Atlantic water with moderate visibility and a coastal current that is usually light. The topography features a mosaic of crevices, small overhangs, and platforms at depths typically ranging from a few meters down to the mid-teens. Marine life includes common Azorean species such as shoals of small damselfish, wrasse, gobies, occasional wrasses, and seabed invertebrates; you may see bream and blennies around the rocky structures. Accessible from nearby towns like Lagoa, Ponta Delgada, and Rabo de Peixe, it’s a convenient option for a half-day dive with multiple entry points and relatively calm conditions when sea state allows.
