Anglers Reef
Anglers Reef is a coastal reef dive site in Southeast Florida. Located near Lauderdale-by-the-Sea and within easy reach of neighboring towns, it offers shallow to moderate depths with accessible entry from shore or boat. Expect typical Atlantic reef topography: undulating sand patches interspersed with rocky ledges and patchy coral growth. The site commonly hosts a variety of reef fish such as snappers, grunts, parrotfish, barracudas, and occasional rays, with macro life including blennies and critters in crevices. Visibility is variable but often reasonable in calm conditions, and currents are usually mild to moderate. The area is popular with local dive operators and can be combined with nearby reefs and wrecks for a longer day of diving. Access is straightforward from the coast, with parking and boat docks in the vicinity.
