Waiara

Waiara is a coastal village in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, on the edge of the Savu Sea and the Indian Ocean. It does not host a large diving center network, and the immediate area has a couple of local dive sites accessible via small operators or day trips from larger hubs in the region. Given the limited local dive infrastructure, divers typically use nearby towns with established centers for courses and boat trips, and may explore reef patches and shallow walls from guide-led trips when conditions allow. The area’s diving potential is described by nearby reefs and seafloor features typical of the Nusa Tenggara region, with marine life common to Indonesian reefs and clear tropical waters. Practical access is by road from larger towns and domestic flights into nearby hubs followed by overland transfer to the coast.
