La Chaise

La chaise is a local Mediterranean dive site near Six-Fours-les-Plages, just a short surface hop. The site is typically accessed from the coast and offers straightforward entry with sheltered conditions in calm seas. Depths are modest, commonly ranging from shallow to mid-20s meters depending on local topography, making it suitable for a broad range of divers. The underwater landscape features rocky bottoms with crevices and small overhangs that host a mix of common Western Mediterranean life such as groupers, moray eels, wrasses, and octopus, with posidonia meadows nearby in sandy pockets. Visibility varies with currents and weather but is often fair to good for coastal sites. While not a famous destination, La chaise provides a reliable, easy dive for local trips from Bandol, Sanary-sur-Mer or Six-Fours-les-Plages, and it is commonly used for training or practice dives.
