Bahia Príncipe

Bahia Príncipe is a coastal dive site near Akumal and the town of Chemuyil, along the Riviera Maya coast. The site is accessed from nearby resorts and beaches, with shallow entry points typical of reef-associated dives in this area. Expect sandy patches and mixed coral formations with healthy, typical Caribbean reef life such as parrotfish, angelfish, snappers, and grunts, along with spur-and-groove coral structures and occasional macro life. Conditions are influenced by seasonal currents and visibility can vary; dives are suitable for recreational levels with local guide knowledge. The area is adjacent to popular coastal destinations and is often combined with other nearby reef sites.
