Skår

Skår is a coastal town in western Sweden near the Skagerrak. It isn’t a major diving hub, and local diving is modest with several nearby sites accessible by shore or short boat trips. In Västra Götalands län you’ll find rock and kelp habitat typical of the northern Baltic and Skagerrak region, with cooler water, seasonal visibility, and common Arctic and temperate fish species. With a small number of dive centers in the broader area, most divers come for short trips from nearby cities, training, or excursions to nearby reefs and wrecks along the coast and around the archipelago. For freshwater options, the region offers lakes and quarries further inland, but they are outside the city’s immediate coastline.
