Orihuela

Orihuela is a inland town in the Alicante province of Spain, not a major coastal diving hub. It sits about 60–70 km from the Mediterranean coast and lies near freshwater and inland cultural sites. The nearby coastal area has limited diving access, so any scuba activity is mostly limited to travel to beaches along the coast, or local training at a nearby dive center if accessible, with basic conditions typical of inland routes. In addition, the surrounding region features a large freshwater lake (La Albufera) suitable for off-season training or practice away from saltwater diving. Overall, Orihuela is more of a gateway for culture and day trips rather than a primary diving destination, with dive options existing mostly in nearby coastal towns along the Balearic Sea.
