Around Mallorca’s north-west area (including the Serra de Tramuntana) divers often find clearer water and a mix of boulders, walls, and marine life typical of the Mediterranean. Ibiza and Menorca add variety with boat-accessible sites, plus a range of shore dives near ports and beaches. Conditions are usually seasonal: spring and early summer tend to be calmer and warmer, while autumn can bring stronger winds and cooler water. Marine life commonly includes octopus, reef fish, nudibranchs, and many smaller invertebrates, along with occasional larger species depending on the season. La Albufera is a freshwater lake and generally relates to inland activities rather than typical open-water Mediterranean diving.
