The area offers warm, generally calm waters with reef and pelagic opportunities more prominent further offshore; popular dive options are often day trips from Muscat to nearby sites. For freshwater options, the region is coastal rather than inland, so most diving activity is saltwater-based and city-accessible rather than a dedicated dive destination on its own.
