Waianae

Waianae is a coastal district on the western side of Oahu, Hawaii. While it isn’t a major international dive hub, it serves as a gateway for local Pacific diving opportunities. Nearby reef sites, boat dives, and shore access along the leeward coast provide opportunities for recreational divers staying on Oahu. Expect warm tropical water, moderate visibility, and typical reef life such as tropical fish and occasional turtles. For most diving, divers typically travel to known shore and boat dive sites around Oahu, or join local operators from Honolulu to reach more distant reefs and wrecks.
