Honolulu is a practical base for scuba diving in Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. While the city itself isn’t a dive site, many dive centers operate from the Honolulu area and run day trips by boat and shore dives across the island’s well-known reefs and channels. Visibility can vary by season and water conditions, but Oʻahu diving is generally focused on marine life around rocky coasts and reef structures, with commonly seen reef fish and, depending on the site and time of year, turtles and larger pelagics.
